Freedom Center Age Group 2 September 24th, 2012-May 1st, 2013
Age Group 2 is for swimmers that are able to complete a 50 yard freestyle in 35-40 seconds, a 100 yd IM in under 1:40, and they must be legal in all four of the competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breastroke, and butterfly) and with flip-turns. This is a great program for swimmers that truly enjoy swimming and want to prepare for a great summer swim season. It is also critical at this time to make swimming as enjoyable and fun as possible so that these swimmers will continue to pursue the sport of swimming through their teens and adult years! This program offers the following practice days/times:
* There is a $75 non-refundable registration fee due upon registration and all swimmers will be issued a team cap and t-shirt at the first practice. If your swimmer wishes to participate in Potomac Valley Swim Meets (PVS), the registration fee will instead be $270 (which includes a PVS yearly membership and $120 towards meet entry fee's).
The initial "Meet Entry Fee" (M.E.F.) of $120.00 per swimmer is required for all swimmers who wish to participate in PVS meest. These funds are used EXCLUSIVELY for your child’s USA/PVS meet entry fees accrued over the season. This requirement simplifies the meet entry process by eliminating the need to write checks to cover entry fees for each individual meet. Once your initial $120.00 has been spent, you’ll be invoiced an additional $50.00 in order to keep a positive balance in your account. At the completion of the season, any remaining M.E.F. balance will be rolled over into your account for the next season. If you do not return to the team, any remaining M.E.F balance under $120.00 is forfeited, and is non-refundable.
